This week our scholars took the Stanford 10 test; they finish it tomorrow. I don't know how they did, of course (scores won't be back for a while), but the atmosphere in the room could not have been better. Everyone was calm, collected, and confident! Way to go scholars - we're very proud of you!
The RCS school board is strongly considering a return to uniforms for 2015 - 2016. I will let you know of their decision as soon as they let me know.
Tuition rates for 2015 - 2016 have been posted. Our $100 off still runs until May 31st and will be applied to the first month's tuition in August.
The school board has made a decision to drop the kindergarten program for now. We may restart the program at a later date.
After May 31st, we will no longer be offering $100 off the first month's tuition for new scholars! Come visit RCS, sign up, and take advantage of this special offer while it lasts!
We will be closed tomorrow due to the weather. Also, school will be delayed two hours on Friday I will have the school phone with me, however, so if you need to set up an appointment to see the school you will be able to reach me. Thanks for understanding!
I am available to meet with you regarding your scholar's entrance to RCS during our two week break for Christmas (with the exception of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, of course!). Please call me at 404-660-0066 if you are interested in enrolling or learning more about the school!
Also, please note that we are no longer at the LaVista Office Park address, but are located on the Grace Fellowship Christian Church campus. There seems to have been quite a great deal of confusion about our location recently, so I just wanted to clear that up. Thanks!
Today is our Christmas Party, so I'm sure we'll have new pics up later! Can't believe one half of the school year is over. Wow, we've had such a blessed year...and we're just getting started!
From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank all of you that have sent prayers our way.. God has richly blessed His school this year and we are grateful beyond words. May you and yours have a blessed holiday season!
I think one of the reasons I haven't posted here yet was that I honestly don't know what to say about this week's events.
Please know you've been in the thoughts and prayers of Sonya and myself this week. I do not believe any less than this...as each life was lost to the evil that was in your school, the hand of God welcomed each child home. Our hearts break with you at your loss and we will continue to pray.
May God continue to give you abundant grace and mercy.
i haven't had any time to post on the school site in what feels like forever. Can I have a minute of your time though to share a precious memory from our Jr. Convention the first week of this month?
We were very blessed to have Brother Andrew come back and speak to all the kids during convention; he is a missionary from Brazil who works with one of the Indian tribes in the rain forest (and I am sorry, I forget the name of the tribe). At any rate, the second night he spoke, prayer was asked for as this is not an easy road he's decided to travel for God. All of the men were invited up first, followed by the female sponsors, and then the scholars in attendance.
When prayer was over, we all got up and went back to our seats. Now if I'm being honest with you, our two RCS scholars are a bit shy still, so I did not know what they would do. Upon returning to my seat, however, the oldest one said to me "We were right behind you when you were praying...and we were praying too."
Will post under A.C.E. tab. Internet signal is awful here - will send results as long as it holds out!
