Class meets Monday and Wednesday from 1:45 - 2:15 PM

Come let your spirit soar in our music classes! Here at RCS you'll learn music theory and composition, how to write good "hooks" for your songs, and music arrangement. Then you'll get to present your work at one of the two A.C.E. conventions during our school year!
If singing is more your style, you can do that too! RCS teaches solid vocal technique and diction while preparing for Black History, Christmas Madrigals, and end of the year awards programs! Our scholars really get to shine at A.C.E. conventions as they can enter in solo, duo, trio, quartet, small ensemble or large ensemble competitions...or all of the above!
Music is Headmaster Phillips' passion in life. He began singing and playing piano 37 years ago, and has participated in all levels of choir in High School. At Mercer Atlanta he had the great priviledge of studying voice under Barbara Dean and was a member of the Concert Choir. He has been director of several successful youth choirs since 1998, and is looking forward to building the program here at RCS!
